This is my 1996 Jaguar XJR. I purchased the car in 2006 and converted it, using all Jaguar parts, to a 5 speed manual. For those unaware, Jaguar made 251 factory manual XJR’s out a total of 6300 or so. The “R†had a supercharged AJ16 in-line 6 cylinder 4.0 liter engine that the factory says produces 322 bhp. A model brochure quotes the 0-60 time of a manual R at 5.9 sec. I can assure my car is every bit as fast as the brochure states. There is no rust whatsoever, the engine does not leak or use oil and everything works except for the cruise control. This car is in excellent condition and can be driven away. It was painted in 2008 has “black†chromed factory rims, an oversized supercharger pulley for additional horsepower, and a custom made crack sensor bracket that advances the timing slightly. All the parts used in the conversion were shipped over from the UK. I have the reserve set at what an XJR of this vintage with an automatic transmission would sell for in excellent condition. I am selling it to reduce the number of cars that I own so the new owner will be getting a one of a kind rare Jaguar at a tremendous bargain.
